Netherurd is Scottish guiding’s home from home, giving generations of girls and volunteers across Scotland the chance to be themselves, have fun and try new adventures.

Former owner Major Thomson leased Netherurd to Girlguiding Scotland in 1945, and it was fully gifted to the charity in 1952. Since then generations of girls have camped, tried outdoor adventures and made friends and memories for life at Netherurd.

We provide everything you need to make your girls’ event or pack holiday a roaring success – from adventure activities to bespoke camps and holiday weekends.

We offer more than a dozen outdoor activities within our beautiful grounds, so you can combine your visit with fun and adventurous challenges from archery to kayaking, climbing and zip wiring. We also have a range of free activities available at Netherurd.

We held our first District camp at Netherurd in 2015, this was attended by over 200 girls. It was such a success we have booked to go back next year.

We’re excited about the new addition of the Village as we have lots of Senior Section members who will be looking forward to staying there.
