Garden House
A modern purpose-built space in Netherurd’s sweeping grounds, offers space, convenience and flexibility. Accommodation for max 60 plus accessible bedrooms and wet rooms. With a main meeting space hosting up to 150 people.
Rooms
The Garden House consists of an East wing and West wing. The wings are symmetrical, offering sleeping facilities for 24 children and 6 adults. Both wings also have an additional accessible bedroom and wet room. The dorm rooms are furnished with bunk beds, each room sleeping 6 people, with shared toilet and shower facilities. The remaining rooms are en-suite with single beds, a room of 2 and a room of 4.
Accessible rooms
The accessible rooms contain an electric bed, hoist and located next to the wet room. There is space for storage and also for an extra camp bed to be set up in the bedroom if required. The wet rooms have a wheel in shower, grab rails, adult size changing table and an emergency pull cord.
Kitchen
The 2 kitchens in the Garden House provide guests with all the essential utensils and facilities needed to self-cater for a large group. With a large dry store cupboard, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven, hot water urn and dishwasher available. There’s plenty of space to store groceries for the weekend or longer.
Main Hall
The main hall provides space to use as a dining room or activity room, with 10 tables and 30+ chairs for use in each wing store cupboard. There is also access to the large walled garden area through the main hall doors. The hall can be split into two separate rooms with the removable wall (this can be done by a member of staff on request). Separate storage and craft sink available so no need to interrupt the cook!
Useful Spaces
Both wings have their own break out/quiet room with TV connected to a DVD player, first aid rooms, laundry with washing machines and drying racks. There is also luggage store rooms and cloak/drying room available. Outside, there are 2 storage cupboards and 2 toilets that can be accessed from the walled garden.
